The most significant of these leaks are generally found at the top of your home. Although most people are aware of areas where cold air leaks into the house during the winter, it is important to remember that all of the air leaking in is equal in volume to air leaking out! During the heating season, the air pressure is greatest at the top of your home. Cold air -being heavier and denser- forces its way into the house through cracks and holes around windows, doors, rim joists, siding, etc, and forces the buoyant warm up and out the ceiling through attic or ceiling bypasses. The important point to remember is that it is less expensive and more effective to seal the exit points at the top of your house, than to replace windows and doors. Our cameras can find and pinpoint the areas where heat leaks out of your home and take pictures of them!
